Description
Fox DHX2 Factory Rear Shock Description: Coil sprung rear shocks stick to the ground better than any other rear shock design, and Fox has revamped the popular DHX2 rear shock to have even more small bump sensitivity, tuning potential, and durability than previous generation DHX2 shocks. Fox moved to a monotube design that reduces cavitation risks, friction, and minimizes oil aeration for a shock that actuates more freely in addition to adding durability. Further adding to the stout build is a damper shaft that has grown by 1/8″ (or 3mm) in diameter, which will also minimize deflection in the ultra-low friction internals to further improve small bump sensitivity. Add in enhanced pressure balancing architecture as well as 4-way rebound and compression adjustability with easy to grip external dials, and the result is unprecedented levels of comfort, control, performance, and tunability that will push a rider’s capabilities to new heights. Features: Monotube design is more durable and is simpler than a twin tube design, and reduces cavitation risks, friction, and oil aeration for a shock that actuates more freely 1/2″ (12.7mm) damper shaft is a full 1/8″ (or 3mm) larger for improved rigidity, strength, and durability Improved pressure balancing within shock improves bump sensitivity and overall support Ultra-low friction internals offers impressive small bump sensitivity for a very responsive shock especially over rapidly changing terrain MCU bumper and damper progressivity for the control and support needed to tackle big hits and rowdy terrain that push the shock deep into its travel range Optional 2-position firm mode lever quickly adjusts the shock for better climbing or better downhill/all-around performance Longer length/stroke length models are intended for downhill applications and will not have the 2-position lever that other models have Variable Valve Control (VVC) has been optimized for excellent fine tuning control of high speed compression and rebound circuits for race level performance 4-way adjustability with easy to grip external dials offer the following adjustability: 16 clicks for low-speed compression 8 clicks for high-speed compression 16 clicks for low-speed rebound 8 clicks for high-speed rebound Each order includes the rear shock assembly, compression adjustment tool, stickers, and an owner’s manual (spring and mounting hardware are sold separately) Specifications: Eyelet Diameter: 12.7mm Spring: Coil Lockout Switch: Shock Mounted (Optional) Color: Black Weight: –
