Schwalbe Air Plus Tube Description: The Schwalbe Air Plus Tube has been designed to provide enhanced flat protection and to reduce air loss between bike rides while retaining a lighter weight and smoother ride than installing solid inserts within the tire. Schwalbe achieves these objectives by increasing the wall thickness of the tube and improving the seam construction to seal in the air. The thicker rubber will reduce the chances of the tube getting pinched during a harsh impact and make it much harder for punctures to get into the air chamber. In addition the valve cores are removable/replaceable so if a rider wants the ultimate in flat protection from their tubes, they can remove the valve core and inject tire sealant (sold separately) into the tube so if anything does make its way through the rubber it will be sealed up quickly.
